Sheinbaum Delivers Second Government Report Today
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo will deliver her Second Government Report on September 1 at the Courtyard of Honor of the National Palace, where she will present the main achievements and results of her administration.
As a result, there will be no morning press conference, commonly known as the “mañanera,” today.
The event is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and will be attended by members of her Cabinet, representatives of the branches of government and other guests, coinciding with the beginning of the regular session of the Mexican Congress.
Later, at 5:00 p.m., Congress will hold a General Congress session at the Legislative Palace of San Lázaro to formally open the first regular session of the first year of the LXVI Legislature.
During the session, members of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate will convene as the General Congress to formally declare the start of legislative activities for the new session.
The presidential report will also be formally submitted to Congress as part of the proceedings.
